2016. “Mas Bro”
We follow the life of a low-profile canteen employee who used to be called as “Mas Bro” among millennial students in The Humaniora Faculty at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. “Mas” in itself means Brother or Bro. The intertwined between Mas and Bro on the way the students called him representing the generational identity of us millennials. The short documentary telling a story of a young working class man lived in the sub-urban of Yogyakarta working on three types of jobs to meet the ends need.

We document Rice Paddy Planting, Harvesting, and Processing into Rice as a representational of the agrarian transformation from Sagoo in Madobag, Siberut, Mentawai Island, West Sumatera. Berak in itself means Uncooked Rice.
